Network Administrator

They are responsible for handling LAN/WAN protocol, software and hardware and spend a lot of time troubleshooting.

Skills Required: Troubleshooting, communication, analytical, and diagnostic skills. Willingness to be on call for long hours.

Education: Bachelor’s degree or five-plus years of related work experience, professional certifications.

Data Security Administrator

They are responsible for defining network security requirements, ensuring all security measures are up to date, monitoring company-wide security practices and implementing security strategies.

Skills Required: Critical thinking, problem-solving, innovative and proactive thinking, strong programming, mathematical, and general engineering skills.

Education: A bachelor’s degree, relevant certifications and a background in computer science.

System Administrator

Skills Required: Problem-solving, communication, analytical.

Experience Required: experience with servers, backup and recovery and installing, patching and upgrading software, troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software and networking problems.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, associate’s degree or technical training certificate.

Certifications: Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or Sun Certified System Administrator (SCSA).
